Katherina Holzhauser is the Chief of Staff for the Office of the President and CEO, where she provides overall leadership for business development operations in support of Intermountain’s innovation and growth objectives. She joined Intermountain Healthcare in 2013 leading Information Systems Strategy and Commercialization. Prior to coming to Intermountain, Katherina operated her own consulting business delivering effective Information Technology strategies to healthcare organizations. She spent 6 years at 3M Health Information Systems where she held two distinct roles; one as Vice President of Software Development and the other as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to 3M, she was the Chief Information Officer at Evans & Sutherland where she was responsible for all aspects of Information Technology. Katherina got her start in technology development and leadership at the Boeing Company in Seattle where she started in high school as a Proposal Assistant working on several government proposals.
Katherina has regularly taken on special projects that have given her exposure to all aspects of running a business. She spent one year as Director of Financial planning, taught Continuous Quality Improvement, organized strategic and leadership offsites, and helped develop new leadership development programs. She enjoys maximizing the talents of her team and working across organizations. Her work with various healthcare organizations has shaped her vision of healthcare transformation, which she believes means using innovation to move our focus on better overall health through an integrated, “wholistic” system.
Katherina received both a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in Computational Linguistics from Stanford University. Additionally, she holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from Seattle University.
Katherina moved to Utah from Washington state with her husband and twin daughters in 1999. She enjoys photography, hiking, gardening, cooking vegetarian food, and living a healthy lifestyle.
