For Women’s History Month, the Salt Lake Chamber produced a special podcast series for Women’s History Month featuring Utah women. Among those women, they included our executive board member Ally Isom.
Ally Isom is the Director of Institutional Messaging, Communication Services for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a global faith with more than 16 million members. Her portfolio includes enterprise identity strategy and messaging for diverse administrative, humanitarian and ministerial organizations. She has also been an LDS Church spokesperson.
In the podcast, Ally addresses growing a career and a family at the same time, creating our own opportunities, even negotiation.
A little bit about Women’s History Month:
The national celebration began in 1981, when Congress authorized the President of the United States to proclaim the week beginning in March 7, 1982 as “Women’s History Week.” After turning it into a full month in 1987, in 1988 Congress passed additional resolutions giving the power to the President to sign off on every March being designated as “Women’s History Month.”
