The Women’s Leadership Institute is excited to announce a new 3-year partnership! WLI has been chosen as the official charity sponsor of the LPGA Symetra Tour which will be held in St. George, Utah at the Copper Rock Golf Course from April 19-24, 2021. Our usual annual golf clinic and tournament in 2020 had to be cancelled due to COVID, so the LPGA invitation couldn’t have been more fortuitous.
“Seventy-three percent of business-women surveyed agree that playing golf has helped them develop relationships and network for business, while 50 percent of women surveyed in executive level positions agree that being able to talk about golf enables them to be more successful,” explains Patricia Jones, CEO of the Women’s Leadership Institute.
The Symetra Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour and enters its 39th competitive season. With the support of its umbrella partner Symetra, the Tour’s mission is to prepare the world’s best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour. Since Symetra’s inaugural sponsorship year in 2012, the Symetra Tour has grown from 16 tournaments and $1.7 million in prize money to $4 million in prize money awarded over the course of 24 tournaments.
