Board Name: Behavioral Health Services Advisory Council (BHSAC)
Notes: 
This Council acts in an advisory capacity to the Salt Lake County Division of Behavioral Health on matters related to the planning and allocation of mental health and substance abuse resources in the County and to the allocation of all public funds available for that purpose. The BHSAC advises the Division on mental health and substance abuse needs, trends and activities related to mental health and substance abuse services.

Board Name: Criminal Justice Advisory Council (CJAC)
Notes: 
The Criminal Justice Advisory Council (CJAC) is seeking to fill two vacancies: 1. A representative from the juvenile justice system. The representative who fills this position could be someone serving on the Utah Board of Juvenile Justice, a juvenile court judge or practitioner who works in the juvenile justice system, someone from Salt Lake County Youth Services, or a community partner in Salt Lake County who works with at-risk youth. 2. An individual with lived-experience in Salt Lake County’s criminal justice system. Ideally, this position would be filled by an individual who has experience in Salt Lake County’s criminal justice system and has obtained substance use or mental health treatment services from a provider in Salt Lake County’s behavioral health network.

CJAC serves as an advisory committee to Salt Lake County elected officials, including the Salt Lake County Mayor, District Attorney, Sheriff, and County Council Members. The council works collaboratively to research issues in the criminal justice system, evaluate programs, shape criminal justice policy and inform county initiatives. Council members include law enforcement officers, prosecutors, defense counsel, corrections, courts, human services, and elected officials at the city, county, and state level. CJAC meetings are typically bi-monthly and fall on the second Wednesday of the month. The term of service is for 2 years.

This advisory board makes recommendations regarding the planning, development, use, and protection of Dimple Dell Regional Park in Sandy.

Board Name: Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
Notes: 
This board reviews, deliberates, and makes recommendations to the County Parks & Recreation Division, the County Mayor, and County Council regarding issues of concern and importance related to parks and recreation facilities and programs in the greater county-wide community. Residents living in County Council District 2 are especially encouraged to apply.

Board Name: Salt Lake County Bicycle Advisory Committee
Notes:
 The Salt Lake County Bicycle Advisory Committee (SLCBAC) promotes biking and walking as fun and healthy travel options for people of all ages and abilities. SLCBAC’s efforts help to advance the implementation of active transportation initiatives in Salt Lake County. Everyone is welcome to apply, especially individuals living in the southwest area of Salt Lake County.
